YOGA FOR MENOPAUSE
What is Yoga for Menopause?
It’s a type of yoga that supports women in the period before, during and after menopause. It is a unique combination of selected yoga postures, breathing, relaxation and meditation techniques that have been specifically tailored to help women cope with the main symptoms of menopause. These can include hot flushes, night sweats, stress or anxiety, irritability, mood swings, insomnia, headaches or fatigue, lack of concentration, muscle and joint pain, incontinence and weight gain.
Yoga for Menopause aims to:
- Alleviate menopausal discomfort
- Offer a positive outlook on menopause
- Facilitate acceptance of the changes that accompany menopause
- An added benefit of attending classes is the creation of a sense of community. This makes
women feel less alone and unsupported, during this time
