Each class includes the practice of gentle physical postures (most of them done from
a chair), breathing techniques and relaxation.
This class is suitable for older adults, people with physical challenges or those
who prefer a more gentle yoga practice.
Non-competitiveness and a relaxed approach encourage everyone to work within their
personal limits. It has a very friendly atmosphere.
As we grow older, we may become affected by some ailments like arthritis, rheumatism,
incontinence or high blood pressure.
This raises the need to stay fit and healthy.
Yoga is a valid and valuable way to increase general fitness as well as a feeling
of well-being, confidence and independence at this stage of life.
Each class has the same structure as the mixed ability adult yoga class. However
it includes gentle physical postures, often done from the chair. Each practice may
be adapted to an individual’s needs and abilities.
